A: Sorry, the root password of the router is only for debugging and is not provided to customers.
Q: Can the telnet port of H8922S be modified?
A: The default port of telnet is 23, which cannot be modified, but it supports customization.
Q: Why can't I access the device remotely?
A: In order to improve the security, 703SE version of the program, prohibit remote access. In the 705SE version and the 721SE version corresponding to the latest hardware version V40, users can remotely access the device through VPN, and when they do not use VPN, they can also open the port to enable remote access through the Security->remote access configuration. However, for security, we do not recommend this operation in non private network environment.
Q: How to set up when using the operator's private network SIM card?
A: Log in to the router configuration interface, enter the Network→Modem page, find the dialing rules, and click the Mod button to configure the SIM card APN and user name and password parameters.
Q: How to solve the problem that the wireless router can't connect to the Internet after inserting the SIM card?
A: 1. Check whether the computer and the router are connected (whether the network cable is connected or the wireless is connected) and whether the IP is set correctly (it is generally recommended to obtain the IP automatically).
2. Then check whether the SIM card inserted in the device supports the device. You can check the network supported by the device through the label on the back of the device system to check whether the SIM card used supports it.
3. Log in to the router management page and check the dialing status of the device in Status→Modem: If the status is "no card", please check whether the SIM card is inserted properly and whether the SIM card is inserted reversely. If the status is "sim ready" but the number cannot be dialed, please check whether the SIM card service is activated or the SIM card is in arrears. If the status is that the number has been broadcast, but the signal is between 1-10, please check whether the 3G/4G antenna is installed properly. If the 3G/4G antenna is damaged or plugged in the wrong place, the signal in your place could be weak and you can try to change the place to test again.
4. After the above troubleshooting is complete, the problem cannot be solved. If it is a router that has been used before, please clear the router configuration (restore router factory settings) or contact Hongdian technical engineers to coordinate and solve it.
Q: Why sometimes the router automatically fallback to 4G, even when the local 5G signal is stable?
A: This is because the feature of NSA network. When NSA is connected, to enhance the bandwidth utility, it will use LTE network for small data flow transmission.
Q: Does the router support bridge mode?
A: When using the quectel module, it can be supported, set by Network->Modem->Connection mode->bridge.
Q: In the router, if the data of SIM1 is used up, can it automatically switch to SIM2?
A: Yes. For firmware above 721SE, SIM1 and SIM2 can switch between SIM cards by setting the flow threshold and the signal threshold.
Q: Is it necessary to configure the APN/username/password/pin in the modem in the router?
A: This depends on carries, you can consult the local carries for details. According to our experience, normally, APN needs to be set, usernama/password/pin does not need to be set.
Q: How to view IMEI number?
A: The V40 version of Hongdian router can be seen directly on the modem status page The historical version can be seen in the log. The AT+GSN command log shows the IMEI number.
